Pros
- Amazing team: talented, passionate, committed, supportive - Great mission: helping people live a better life while respecting privacy, being supportive, etc. - Support for the whole person: work-life balance is more than a phrase, respect for non-work passions, actually caring about me (and every team member) as a human being, parent, spouse, etc. - Cool offsites: when possible (dang COVID!), the team retreats are awesome - Mostly asynchronous work means you can work when you need to or are most productive. If you're a middle of the night worker, or have a kid's play during the middle of the day and have to finish your tasks later in the day, whatever. This is all about doing your job and not butts-in-seats during particular hours (except the meetings, of course!)
Cons
- All remote team means that you don't get to know people in the same way - The time zone issues are non-trivial, and if you're in the US, you'd better be a morning person. - It's a startup, so the pay is not at the top of the scale
