Pros

The first & foremost I got inspired & motivated cuz of the US Team who has a helping mind The good thing which I feel about this company is evening biscuit snacks, Britannia 50/50, Parle G if you're lucky enough you might get a chance to taste Britannia GOOD DAY Macbook: They used to provide Mac initially for the employees but at the moment, it's not been provided cuz the Company head says that build quality of Indian Mac is not so good as US. Think, this is the first time I'm hearing this off. Even a person whose IQ is below 80 would mock at him and if Apple hears this off, they might build a temple for our so called company head…

Cons

management is sensitive to criticism In all hands meeting, company's CEO threatens everyone for talking the actual fact in the Glassdoor Zero Work-Life Balance This is the worst place to work at any point in your career whether you are a fresher or if you're experienced. They don't care about your learning and they don't care about you as an employee. The work culture is the worst here in Bangalore for the past few months especially after the arrival of new Company Head. It is very demotivating and can get very ugly most of the times. Even if they're offering you a significant raise, don't take the offer. You will thank me.

Pros

A nice large new office for our shrinking workforce. Bootcamp will be useful for learning for freshers and non technical managers.

Cons

Worst Work-Life balance ever: forget about your family, friends, loved ones even on weekends, Indian public holidays, US public holidays. Keep everything aside and think about phdata only. This is the way they want people to work here. Somedays it seems similar to feeling very sick and unable to do day-to-day activities. Let me try to give an example, let's assume you were sick with jaundice or typhoid for couple of months and you feel so hopless in life that you feel like you neither care about earning extra nor earning respect, all you want to be is like a normal people who can do day-to-day activities. I sometimes miss my previous employers badly who did not give good hikes, but did not have shifts and have peaceful weekends and public holidays. They did not give hint while joining that there will be shifts. I am not sure if this will be heard or understood by the management, I am even ready to take a lesser pay instead of working on shifts. The way management speaks, it is either work in shift or leave the company. In all hands meeting top management mentions Indian team is very critical for their success and they appreciate as well. But ground reality is that US employees gets to go to the movies and sport events or even have a picnic outside the office and also get to take their family members and all that the Indian employees get is shift allowance and double shift allowance for working on a holiday (US or India).Do you think that we deserve something better? Only time we go out is when the US team visits India. Sincere request to US Management - keep visiting us often. Feedback from one ex-colleague has made me feel insecure at work that I am extremely cautious at work that I hesitate to speak with my own colleagues and my team. Approachability is only in words.

Pros

Pros: 1) Strong Technical Focus very clear understanding and commitment to what company wants to do. I worked with a very large Software Service Organisation for 17+ years and no doubt I was very happy there, But I wanted to be more focused on Technology Skills (Especially Big Data and Machine Learning) and therefore I was exploring some small to medium scale company that is more focused on technology work. It was really a great step or risk for me to move from large Service Company (400000) associates to phData (80 associates when I joined). But after taking with Founder members and India Leadership team, I found that phData has a good number of Technology masters who are leading from front. (Few of the phData architects teach at US Universities where few have written books (o'reilly books) on technology (Kudu). So I decided to take this opportunity and joined phData 1.5 years back. 2. I found phData walks the talk: very focused on technology and very firm about their business model. Company owns the delivery and its not another body-shopping house. Very honest, frank, transparent people. I find a great family feeling. 3. Company very nicely fostered a culture of learning and contribution. Company invests in associates by providing you all required trainings/mentorship, I found environment very supportive when you want to work on new technologies. Associates are encouraged to have a very frank discussion without feeling embarrassed if you are not knowing something. 4. Salaries are at par or rather higher as compared to other service industry space. To summaries if your goal to challenge yourself with Technology and Business Problems, if you are passionate about what you do and honest, transparent phData is best match for you.

Cons

Cons: There is no any major shortcoming at such but to be honest with you company is growing and as companies grow they can not run the same way, so there are changes in all aspects, more policies, rules, governance models and as a human psychology we find it difficult at times but that is true for any organisation or even a project.
