Entry Level Actuary salaries in Vancouver, BC, Canada

Hi, I have just been offered a Principal Actuarial Analyst position in Allianz UK. What should my base salary expectation be?Allianz

I just wanted some insight as to the hiring process with bigger insurance companies, I recently have completed 5 interviews with Prudential for an actuarial associate role, I have received great feedback in each interview and 2 weeks have gone by with no rejection. Do roles like this typically take this long for compensation approval or HR signatures? I just wanted to see what a recruiter would think as to the possible delay

There are so many levels of responsibility in insurance: Actuary, Underwriters, Claims Adjuster, and Agent. Each role plays a part in the process and the compensation is equal to the skills and knowledge. What would motivate you to climb the ladder? Money? Knowledge? Experience? Personal satisfaction?

When I was younger, my grandmother advised me to marry an Accountant but not be one - she was a pre-boomer. Within the first few months in the department, I learned about Actuaries. They are like super Accountants, but super Nerds. Is there a role in Insurance that is compensated well and not a super Nerd? Asking for a friend...😉
