Wesley Oehmig, PhD, PE joins CDM Smith as a drinking water discipline leader. Dr. Oehmig has 15 years of research and consulting experience in the water industry and brings expertise in drinking water treatment design and piloting. In his new role, Dr. Oehmig will lead our technical staff to support key projects for water clients in the Southeast region of the United States.
Sara Gamaleldin, PE joins CDM Smith as a senior project manager. She brings 17 years of experience leading water and wastewater projects and programs. In her new role, Gamaleldin will oversee key water projects to support the firm's clients in the Midwest, such as the Fox River Water Reclamation District in Illinois, the city of Fort Wayne, Indiana, and the city of Evanston, Illinois.
CDM Smith and its employees are proud to donate $10,053 in proceeds from its annual intern T-shirt fundraiser, along with a company match, to support victim aid and relief efforts for the Florida State University (FSU) community in the aftermath of a campus shooting that took place in April 2025. The annual fundraiser invites the firm’s summer interns to create unique and innovative designs that embody CDM Smith’s work. Driven by the firm’s longstanding culture of giving back, the winning design is made available for employee purchase with all profits donated to a charity of the winning intern’s choice.
