From in-house research to the global stage! This April, DECIEM showed up at in-cosmetics Global 2026 in Paris - one of the leading international conferences for cosmetic science and innovation. Participating in global scientific forums like In-Cosmetics allows us to both contribute to and learn from the researchers, formulators, and thinkers advancing the field. It’s also a reflection of how we’ve always approached science at DECIEM - with rigour, transparency, and a commitment to evidence. We’re proud to be part of the conversations shaping the future of evidence-based skincare and to continue strengthening our scientific voice by showing up, sharing our work, and engaging with the broader scientific community.
As we celebrate our birthday this month with our community, we’re also mindful that all of this is made possible by the planet we live on. This April, alongside giving back to our community, we’re also giving back to a charity whose values closely align with ours - One Earth. They’re supporting work in the Leuser Ecosystem in Sumatra, Indonesia - a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and one of the last places on Earth where orangutans, rhinos, elephants, and tigers still coexist in the wild. This biodiversity hotspot is under threat from deforestation, illegal palm oil expansion, logging, and development. Protecting it means supporting not just biodiversity, but the ecosystems and communities that depend on it. We’ll be making a $100,000 CAD birthday donation to support this work. Because meaningful progress takes time - and requires long-term thinking, credible science, and collective action. Learn more at deciem.com/oneearth

In April, it's business abnormal, with generosity all around ✨ April is our birthday month, a reminder of another year of living, learning, and growing. In a society that sometimes teaches us to fear aging, we choose to see it differently. So we're celebrating our birthday, and that we grew up together, with 23% off* on all DECIEM brands, birthday surprises (the return of an old favourite) and an abnormal birthday bundle, because some things just go together. This birthday month is all about you, our community. The ones who share our curiosity for science, who have been part of our journey as we've evolved, and who seek transparency as we do. Growth doesn't happen alone. And it wouldn't be a party if you weren't part of it. This is The Abnormal Birthday Party. *Abnormal Birthday Promotion only available on DECIEM websites and stores from April 1st to 30, 2026. Limits apply. While supplies last. Not valid outside offer period. Not combinable with other offers except where stated. Subject to change/cancellation without notice. Full T&Cs apply, see https://lnkd.in/esbpNzfq
Beauty is being proud 🤍 In February 2026 we were delighted to once again partner with Midsumma Festival to celebrate the Victoria Pride Street Party, marking the fourth consecutive year supporting Australia's premier queer arts and cultural organization. Our goal was to foster authentic, meaningful community engagement in a space filled with joy, love and celebration. We engaged Drag King and MUA Ira Luxuria to perform in the window of our Gertrude Street store, integrating a live 'Get Ready With Me' and 'Get UNready With Me’ using a selection of The Ordinary products including Squalane Cleanser, Multi-Active Delivery Essence + HA and new Rice Lipids + Ectoin Microemulsion. Guests enjoyed refreshments from local partners Tokyo Lamington and bobby. We were thrilled to open our doors at Fitzroy to welcome, celebrate and support our LGBTQIA+ community—with pride.
A massive thank you to the incredible teams at Anishnawbe Health Foundation and Anishnawbe Health Toronto for graciously hosting the DECIEM team at the Anishnawbe Health Centre a few weeks ago! We were privileged to receive a tour and learn about the centre’s culturally grounded care for the urban Indigenous community in Toronto. We were also profoundly moved by the team’s personal experiences. The strong sense of place and belonging that the team feels permeates the entire centre, and it is clear that this same warmth, safety, and cultural affirmation is extended to every single patient who walks through their doors. We left feeling inspired and grateful to support the work of the centre. This marks our first year of partnership with the Anishnawbe Health Foundation and Anishnawbe Health Toronto. The collaboration reflects our ongoing commitment to reconciliation by building meaningful relationships with Indigenous organizations that serve communities in the places where we operate and take up land, here, in Toronto on Treaty 13 lands - the traditional territory of the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation.
We’re committed to reducing our plastic consumption. One of the ways we’re doing this is by using post-consumer recycled plastic to make our bottles. Glycolic Acid 7% Exfoliating Toner 240ml bottles are now made with 50% PCR, helping us give new purpose to existing plastic materials. This is the first of many transitions in our plans for key products. Thanks to this change, we avoid using over 100,000 kg of virgin plastic each year. Learn more at https://lnkd.in/e_itGBuV. 🌎
Food creates space. For conversation. For culture. For community. In our Toronto office, Chef Tre Sanderson joined us for a live demo of his signature jerk paste and a conversation about the journey behind it. From learning in his grandmother’s kitchen to winning Top Chef Canada, Chef Tre spoke about Caribbean influence, innovation, and building something rooted in who you are. Moderated by Sophia Mangan, Applied Research Scientist and Black Voices Community Member, the conversation also focused on the importance of staying true to yourself and believing there is space for everyone to succeed. We closed out the experience with a delicious catered lunch from Honey's Soul Food, bringing the flavours and stories full circle. Thank you, Chef Tre, for sharing your craft and your story with us. <3
On Black Friday, we closed our website and stores for a moment of pause amidst the chaos of a day focused on hyperconsumerism. Instead, Anika D., DECIEM’s Director of Sustainability, Dina Nicola, VP of Scientific, and David Luba, Co-Founder of Veritree, hosted an open conversation on how data, transparency, and collaboration are transforming sustainable beauty at our Toronto HQ. They spoke about our science-led approach, from lab innovation to packaging design, and our new partnership with veritree, supporting their verified, nature-based restoration work across forests, kelp, and coastal ecosystems, using transparency and verification to cut through greenwashing. We also discussed what’s next in DECIEM’s sustainability journey as it deepens its investment in regenerative action globally. A huge thank you to Veritree and our guests for joining us to learn more about the future of sustainability and practical innovation - because transparency isn't a trend, it's the future of sustainability.
