Congratulations to the Kennedys’ lawyers who have been included on this year’s Pro Bono Recognition List which was published on 07 April. The List recognises lawyers who undertook 25 hours or more pro bono work over the last year, acknowledging the valuable impact that lawyers across England and Wales are making in support of access to justice. We also celebrate the trainees and apprentices who have supported our pro bono initiatives in the last 12 months. Although junior lawyers can’t join the List until qualification, we are delighted that they have embraced the pro bono ethic and hope they will continue to demonstrate this throughout their careers. We’re proud to announce that we have been shortlisted in the Sustainability Initiative category at this year’s The Lawyer Awards, for our collaboration on the Regenerative Farming Accelerator. Delivered in partnership with environmental consultancy Bright Tide, the programme supports purpose-led regenerative farming ventures to grow their businesses and scale their impact. These ventures are leading the way in sustainable agriculture and aquaculture, and the programme helped them in navigating regulatory and risk-related challenges, as well as facilitating industry connections to help remove the barriers to scaling their innovative, nature-based solutions. This week, we proudly launched the DANDI Network (Disability and Neurodivergent Discussion for Impact) – the latest addition to our growing family of affinity networks at Kennedys. The event brought together colleagues from across the global firm to hear powerful personal stories and celebrate the value of divergent thinking. Our brilliant keynote speaker, Alex Partridge, ADHD Chatter podcast host, shared his early experiences and the transformative impact of receiving an ADHD diagnosis. His story really brought to life the importance of awareness, understanding and support. A huge thank you to our DANDI co-chairs, Scott McKinnell and Eve Hesketh and network members, who were instrumental in pulling this event together. We also heard from colleagues across generations at Kennedys, exploring how neurodiversity shows up in different ways – and all the strengths it brings. One attendee summed it up beautifully: “Alex was a fantastic choice of speaker, but moreover I thought your panel discussion was brilliant – you made the subject immediately accessible and the pace was dynamic without feeling rushed. We definitely left more informed and more able to inform others – I’m really glad I attended.”
We’re proud to have achieved Top Tier rankings in three practice areas and been recommended in a further 13, following the release of this year’s Legal 500 EMEA results.
