The observance of the day aims to promote an understanding of disability issues and mobilize support for the dignity, rights, and well-being of persons with disabilities. This year’s theme is all about promoting leadership and participation of persons with disabilities in a post-Covid world.
We just wrapped up a company wide steps challenge which consisted of 5 weeks of friendly team vs team competition. We had well over 100 employees participating on 22 different teams globally. After 5 rounds of competition, LiveVox participants walked over 21,000 miles, which is almost a full trip around the Earth! Our employee's heath and wellness are top of mind at LiveVox and a big part of our Total Rewards program.

ERG Spotlight - LiveVox WIT (Women in Technology) launched a pilot mentoring program supporting career and skill development for women at LiveVox. Program design includes identification of matching mentors from executive volunteers and best practice guidance for both mentees and mentors to derive the high value from the program. Light-weight by design, the pilot program is running with 12 mentees, will last 6 months, and will be followed by a reflection of results and next steps.
October is National Disability Employment Awareness Month and we’re thinking about the many contributions people with disabilities across the globe make in contact centers every day. Some of the existing accessibility features on our platform that enable our users include: - Our buttons, screens, and media are alt-text compliant for screen readers - Audio descriptions with visual cues are provided for video content for visually impaired users - Our suite of digital messaging channels removes roadblocks for hearing impaired agents and customers by offering alternatives to phone service More accessibility features are included in the 2022 roadmap

September is Hispanic Heritage Month! Beginning on September 15 and through October 15 we are celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month. As recognized in the history of several Latin American countries as the date when they declared their independence from Spain. LiveVox is recognizing and celebrating the Hispanic Heritage of our employees with activity based (virtual) events such as learning to salsa dance together and nourishing the soul with food and celebration.
LiveVox has had a long standing relationship with the East Lake Foundation in Atlanta, GA and last night, as part of their DigiTECH series, we had an opportunity to share (via Zoom) some interviewing tips and tricks. We provided takeaways such as sample interview questions, questions they should ask in an interview and an overview of the STAR interviewing method. The engagement was great and there were so many good questions.
