🏥 Is International Health Insurance Among the Top 3 Perks for Remote Workers? 🌍 At MailerLite, we believe in taking care of our people, no matter where they are in the world. I'm super excited to share with you all this insightful blog post from MailerLite's Chief People Officer, Remigijus Golubevas. The parallels he draws between hiking and onboarding are spot-on. 🚀 💡 We've made some changes in our onboarding process and the impact has been incredible. We do fixed monthly onboarding schedules by bringing new hires together in "Newbie Classes". This environment encourages camaraderie, support, and cross-team relationships from day one. 🤝 Some key takeaways: ➡ Preparation is Key: Before their first day, new hires receive the tools and resources they need, ensuring a smooth start. ➡Clear Roadmaps: Detailed plans for the first few weeks help new team members understand their goals and how to prioritize their efforts. ➡Early Engagement: Personalized welcome emails and virtual introductions make new hires feel connected and valued before they even start.
🌍 Working in a Remote-First Company Shouldn't Feel Lonely One of the many reasons I've been with MailerLite for over 4 years (😮!) is that, despite working alone in my office, I've never felt lonely. I believe that staying connected with colleagues and getting to know them better is the secret for this. MailerLite has many cool initiatives to keep us engaged and connected. Some of you might have heard about our fantastic workations (week-long meetups with the entire company 🤩) or our culture map events. Every day, we chat in different Slack channels dedicated to our interests, ranging from 🐕 and 🐈 to video games and 📚 clubs. One that I enjoy a lot is the hashtag#questionaday channel. Every other day, a new question pops up, and it feels like we've covered every possible topic! 😄 Here are a few of my favorite questions so far: ✹ If you could travel in a time machine, what year would you choose and why? ✹ What will people be nostalgic for in 500 years? ✹ When did you first feel like an adult? These questions are not only fun, but also a fantastic way to learn more about your colleagues. For instance, I found out that my dear friend Jen Masson Hiese once ate big ants, a delicacy in Colombia! 🐜 😲 (part of the "What's the weirdest thing you've ever eaten?" question) Building connection and staying engaged matters. 💚

Unique benefits for parents at MailerLite🌟 MailerLite was founded by a young couple, Ilma Tiki and Ignas Rubežius, during their early years as parents. They had a clear vision of how to balance both parenthood and the experience of building a company. This understanding of the unique challenges parents face has shaped a culture that supports employees through every milestone of their life. 💚 Even though I'm not a parent, I deeply appreciate the support our parent colleagues receive here. It's incredible to see how they juggle two full-time jobs, and working in a place that supports that is truly inspiring. ✨ On top of the benefits offered to all employees, parents at MailerLite also receive the following: 🐣 Parental days ➡ 1 day off per month to share special time with your child or children 🐣 Parental budget ➡ For anyone who welcomes a new child into their family through childbirth or adoption 🐣 Paternity leave ➡ 1 month paid bonding time at 100% of your salary when welcoming a new child into your family 🐣 Maternity leave ➡ 3 months paid bonding time at 100% of your salary when welcoming a new child into your family 🐣 Sick leaves ➡ Parents can use their 12 days of sick leave to take care of themselves or their children 🐣 Flexibility ➡ Allowing parents to manage their workday around family needs, such as taking kids to school, attending important events, or simply being there when it matters most.
