Christmas Carols 2021 With the year coming to an end and Christmas just around the corner, Merit celebrated the season at the Chennai office with a night of carols, performed by the girls from STEPS, a home supported by the PUNYA initiative, followed by the Christmas message by Neil Vimalkumar Boniface from Life Focus Society. Con also addressed the gathering and shared his thoughts around Christmas and thus looking forward to a bright and prosperous 2022! The items collected from the Joy of Giving initiative as part of Punya were distributed to the homes supported by Merit's CSR initiative. Letrim Wins POSH Award 2021! Letrim Intelligence Services Pvt Ltd, a subsidiary of Merit Data and Technology, is recognised as one of the Top 25 Safest Workplaces in India for 2021. Winners were selected based responses and evidence produced across various topics such as PoSH compliance, Case handling, Training and Sensitization, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, Internal committees and Workplace Safety for employees within and outside the office, consultants, contractors and visitors, etc. Winners were selected through rigorous rounds of evaluation by an independent, expert panel of judges. This recognition was conferred by KelpHR, a pioneering organisation that aims to build workplaces that are safe, happy, and inclusive through best-in-class HR practices. Kudos to the POSH Committees in Chennai and Mumbai for this achievement!
DELTA is an initiative by Merit to hire fresh non-engineering graduates from leading colleges and develop those students into top performing IT professionals. Merit gives these graduates the opportunity to get trained in some of the latesttechnologies and be on par with engineering graduates who have made their career in IT. The first batch kick-started on 15 July 2021 after a rigorous selection process which included problem solving capability, lateral and creative thinking, English language communication skills (verbal and written), tech curiosity, work ethic and diligence. All 26 candidates have now successfully completed and graduated from the program and are now ready to establish a career in IT at Merit. The graduation event was held on 29 November at the Chennai office to recognize the efforts of not only the candidates and officially welcome them to Merit, but to also recognize the efforts of the entire team behind the DELTA initiative.

Maternity Benefits under Merit’s General Medical Cover Based on employee feedback received on the E-sat Survey, Merit is happy and proud announce that the company’s insurance policy is now inclusive of Maternity Benefits for female employees and male employees’ spouse. The maternity benefits are subject to conditions, clauses, warranties and endorsements. The policy shall pay for hospitalization expenses for medical / surgical treatment at any nursing home / hospital In India as in-patient treatment, subject to 24 hours or more.
