Based on the PSA alone, this case might not have raised any red flags, but Dr. Fernando Losada needed to make sure everything was in order. After noticing a subtle asymmetry in the left central zoneโan uncommon origin point for prostate cancer and a notoriously challenging area for detectionโhe requested a second opinion. Thatโs when QP-Prostate stepped in. While traditional methods might have missed it, AI demonstrated how intelligent detection can be a game-changer, even in unusual locations. โถ๏ธ Full webinar: https://lnkd.in/dThVhgjd #ProstateCancer #AIinHealthcare #PrecisionMedicine #AIinRadiology
๐ Why is it so important to predict colon cancer recurrence before surgery? Because it achieves two of our main objectives: helping doctors make more informed therapeutic decisions and bringing patients closer to truly personalized care. In our latest publication in ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐ฑ๐ฆ๐ฏ, developed with INCLIVA Instituto de Investigaciรณn Sanitaria and the Hospital del Mar Research Institute, we present a radiomics-based AI model that predicts the risk of recurrence in stage II and III colon cancer. By combining radiomic and fractal biomarkers extracted from pre-surgery CT scans with clรญnical data, the model offers a non-invasive and more accurate alternative to current methods, enabling smarter decisions to be made before surgery. One step closer to smarter, more targeted cancer care. ๐ Read the full article: https://bit.ly/44Ughyl #ColorectalCancer #CancerResearch #PrecisionOncology #AIinHealthcare #MedicalImaging
When it comes to medical imaging, hands-on experience makes all the difference. Hosted by Uroima and Quodemy on November 3, this expert-led workshop is a great opportunity for radiologists looking to refine their prostate MRI interpretation skills through real-world, hands-on learning. We're always happy to share meaningful learning opportunities โ because whether it's about increasing confidence or enhancing expertise, the goal is the same: to turn knowledge into clinical impact. #MedicalImaging #Radiology #ProstateMRICourse Francesco Giganti Violeta Catalรก
๐ง The neurological effects of #COVID19 are one of the most troubling and persistent legacies of the pandemic. Even long after the acute phase, many people continue to experience cognitive symptomsโsuch as memory loss, attention deficits, and even signs of structural brain atrophyโthat impact daily functioning and long-term well-being. A recent meta-analysis involving more than 4 million patients clearly demonstrates the high prevalence of these long-term cognitive symptoms, underscoring the urgent need to improve long-term follow-up and early intervention strategies. Complementing this, earlier MRI-based studies have shown measurable brain volume loss in key regions such as the hippocampus, cerebellum, and orbitofrontal cortexโproviding objective evidence of structural changes behind persistent symptoms. On #WorldBrainDay, we highlight the importance of protecting brain health and the role that advanced imaging tools like QP-Brain can play in detecting early signs of cerebral atrophyโespecially when conventional MRI appears normal. ๐ Reference studies: ๐น https://lnkd.in/dPgTPW-n ๐น https://lnkd.in/dMP6AbvT #BrainHealth #Neurology #Prevention #MedicalImaging

Despite the increasing adoption of prostate MRI in clinical practice, a significant and underestimated challenge remains: 1 in 3 prostate MRI scans is of insufficient diagnostic quality. This variability directly impacts clinical outcomes, as suboptimal images challenge the detection and exclusion of clinically significant prostate cancers. To address this problem, we have introduced AI-QUALโข, an innovative feature in our QP-Prostate platform that automates image quality assessment based on PI-QUAL v2 guidelines, helping to ensure that all scans meet the standards patients deserve. Weโre proud to share that QP-Prostate has been selected for a major NHS England-backed rollout to support the early detection of prostate cancer across 7 hospitals in England. Over the next two years, QP-Prostate will assess over 3,000 patients, evaluating its impact on diagnostic accuracy, cost-effectiveness, and health equity. #ProstateCancer remains a major health challenge in the UK. Despite advances in care, only half of cases are diagnosed early โ when treatment has the highest impact. The NHS Long Term Plan aims to raise this to 75% by 2028. This rollout has been made possible through the SBRI Healthcare (Small Business Research Initiative), which enables the NHS to access innovative companies with mature technologies and demonstrate real-world clinical benefits to accelerate adoption in practice. https://bit.ly/4nIN94w #AIinHealthcare #NHS #Radiology #EarlyDetection #DigitalHealth
Despite a low PSA (2), a strong family history in which both father and brother had #ProstateCancer raised clinical concern. With the support of QP-Prostate, the lesion was clearly flagged as suspicious. A biopsy confirmed the diagnosis and allowed timely treatment. The patient recovered without complications and returned home with an encouraging prognosis: 100% 5-year survival for localized prostate cancer. A clear example of how #AI can contribute to accuracy and confidence in clinical decision making. โถ๏ธ Watch the full case here: https://lnkd.in/dhy2RB3e Kai Vilanova MD, PhD #AIinHealth #HealthInnovation #QPProstate
