• On 5 May 2021, TII announced that its Directed Energy Research Centre has partnered with Germany’s Ruhr University Bochum and Helmut Schmidt University, France’s University Clermont Auvergne and National University of Colombia, Bogota. • On 3 May 2021, TII announced that its Directed Energy Research Centre has unveiled its Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) laboratories in Abu Dhabi, housed in a first of its kind facility in the Arab world. • On 26 April 2021, TII announced that its Quantum Research Centre has developed the first simulation version of 'Qibo', a versatile open-source quantum computing programming framework, in collaboration with researchers from around the world. • On 21 April 2021, TII announced that its Secure Systems Research Centre has partnered with Khalifa University, Georgia Institute of Technology, Tampere University and University of Applied Sciences and Arts of Southern Switzerland (SUPSI).
• On 19 April 2021, TII announced that its Cryptography Research Centre has launched the UAE’s first secure cloud technologies programme which will boost advanced technologies that enhance data privacy and cloud encryption schemes. • On 7 April 2021, TII announced the appointment of leading international experts to the Board of Advisors at its Autonomous Robotics Research Centre. • On 29 March 2021, TII’s Cryptography Research Centre unveiled the first Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC) library in the UAE. • On 23 March 2021, TII announced that its Quantum Research Centre will construct the UAE’s first quantum computer in collaboration with Barcelona-based Qilimanjaro Quantum Tech researchers. • On 10 March 2021, TII announced that its Secure Systems Research Centre has partnered with Purdue University, a world-renowned US-based public research university. • On 8 March 2021, TII announced the appointment of international experts in the field of systems security to the Board of Advisors of its Secure Systems Research Centre.
• On 6 January 2021, TII initiated an international partnership between its Cryptography Research Centre and Yale University to pioneer breakthroughs in post-quantum cryptography and neuromorphic computing. • On 15 December 2020, TII and Virgin Hyperloop announced their collaboration in research, innovation and localisation of the futuristic transportation method. The partnership involves cooperation with three of TII’s research centres: Directed Energy Research Centre, Autonomous Robotics Research Centre, and Advanced Materials Research Centre. • On 14 December 2020, TII appointed global cryptography experts to the Board of Advisors of the Cryptography Research Centre. • 10 November 2020 saw the official launch of TII in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
