Competitive salary, benefits and retirement, many locations around the country, development programs for career advancement

Cons

Experiences can vary greatly from program to program, training and development opportunities have been limited in the past few years, can be difficult to get recognition if you aren't on the "right" program, advancement can be slow unless you have a senior or executive level employee giving you recommendations.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Better retain your young engineering talent by giving them opportunities to grow, adjustments need to be made to better fit the culture of the younger generation

    Pros

    Get to work on some of the most amazing assemblies, including satellites and fighter jets.
    Good work-life balance (depending on your work group). Flex-time.
    Great leadership development programs (including generous tuition reimbursement) for early career employees.

    Cons

    Too much bureaucracy throughout company and industry.
    Downturn in defense industry, with concerns of sequestration.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Speed up HR process for internal hires. Act quicker to send employees that are not hacking it (or a good fit) to different organizations or eliminate their job. Too many bad apples throughout the company can bring down the morale of organizations.

    Allowed me to grow and utilized my skills independently in a leadership position. There was room for growth and advancement.. Offered great benefit packages.

    Cons

    People are not held accountable for not performing their assigned duties. Enforcement should be on tardiness and not showing up for work.
