      Pros

There are a lot of pros when it comes to Engie North America. The health insurance, the pay the time off,the 401k and bonus structure

      Cons

Toxic work environment, toxic management, no growth, HR turns a cold shoulder to most people.

      Pros

Good pay, bonuses etc. 5 days work week.

      Cons

Extreme work environment with bad management. Complete micro managing. Unable to take leave as and when needed. Colleagues can be toxic also.

      Business outlook

      Pros

Some very knowledgeable people in the business, particularly in the global space. Good bonuses and flexible working arrangements

      Cons

People are not friendly, nobody acknowledges you as they walk past, boost wants to do their job and you constantly have to follow up, not enough desks for everyone, terrible location. No team engagement, treated like a number, don’t celebrate people’s achievements or even when they leave they don’t care and do nothing to farewell you - very weird bunch of people, never seen anything like it, the cons are endless….

Supportive culture undermined by inexperienced leadership decisions

      It program management
      Former employee
      Houston, TX
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business outlook

      Pros

At the global level, ENGIE fostered a supportive culture with strong employee investment — including competitive bonus structures and meaningful professional development opportunities.

      Cons

The new leadership on the Houston B2B side — Supply and Retail — lacked experience with IT delivery frameworks and governance best practices, which led to inconsistent decision-making and eroded the structures our teams relied on. More concerning, there was a willingness to misrepresent program health and outcomes to stakeholders — something I was not willing to participate in.

Hello, thank your for taking time writing a review and your suggestions for improvement. In trading you were granted a good bonus, and generally we provide a fair compensation package, with benefits for our employees, including social protection and shareholding plan.

Great colleagues experience, but management and Culture.. maybe not

      Credit controller
      Former employee
      Leeds, England
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business outlook

      Pros

      * I made a lot of colleagues friends there and really grateful for that *Some managers are good, but I can count them on the fingers of my hand and name them even though I didn't work under them * Good parties and events * I had lots of bonuses and progressive increase in pay (but this may have eased off since I left) *One of the CFOs was very nice and welcoming and seemed genuine in his greetings etc. The 2 CFOs have great sense of humour (one needs to be careful about his jokes as once he sounded discriminatory) I would recommend as a starting role I would say but beat in mind the cons.

      Cons

      * The second worse welcome I had * If they advertise this as 'Credit Control', be careful, this ISN'T Credit Control, it IS Collections. The title has changed from Credit Controller to Credit Control and collections adviser. The difference? Credit Control has more important responsibilities : refunds, , sometimes checking credit limits or maybe gathering files for legal, relationship building internally and externally, setting up meetings to discuss with client. Etc. It is more ethical VS. Collections : Dialler, Phone stats, KPIs, tracking system, micromanagement, quantity over quality (customer service is neglected) it can become less ethical for the employee and the Client. * Pigeon-holed. They make you think they give development and opportunities by giving you short term project or a secondment and use it as an 'example that they give opportunities > do not waste your time talking to people around and building a career development plan cause if they want you, they will let you know *Gaslighting and micromanagment : if you go to an interview be careful at the following comment from the employer 'I don't micromanaged' * I was told by a manager : 'you may have all the skills in the world but if you don't know anyone you will/may not get anywhere' so my thought process was : So you may have no skill at all but if you know the highest person in the hierarchy you can secure roles. - That's summarising what the culture is. All means that there are lots of individuals who have high roles and are not competent (I observed, it is the case) * System is very manual and is struggling with the intensive amount of data and tools that keeps being added up to it, straining it over it's capacity. * You may be doing many jobs in one role title. *Very difficult to escalate if non payers *High management already knows who they will give the roles to when they open. So no need to waste your time to apply, work on your interview etc. they have already chosen before hand (best friends, favourites etc) before it gets released on the job board * Some abusive manager, and a lot of sweeping under the carpet vibes.

      Pros

      Flexible hours Remote work Kollegues

      Cons

Small to no bonus Often understaffed

      Dysfunctional at best

      Information technology

      Business outlook

      Pros

Working remote is great. The paycheck keeps on coming in so there's that overall.

      Cons

Poor bonus structure. Disorganization and a "but weve always done it this way" mentality which is hard to change. Not a place for someone that is just entering the workforce to go to as it will leave a bad impression quickly.
