What is the salary like at FirstPort?

Good flexible working, good for parents. My manager is understanding and a generally good mananger

Lack of progression, Interview experiences biased / preselected, lack of leadership, lack of direction and poor processes.

- Open to apply to other positions in the company - If you are lucky to work with nice bosses, it's good. But if not, you are not happy at all. - Work from home, flexible time or hybrid (it also depends on which positions and department), this is not applied for the whole company

- There are no opportunities to develop within my team even though I have good performance - The salary is not good enough, the same salary for everyone, you don't have a higher salary even if you work harder, have more workload or better performance - Some managers are rude

Varied work and lots of it, you're not micromanaged, you receive ongoing training, fairly good management support, good personal development. The salary package is good if you are a live in Development Manager as you get a 2 bed apartment or house which bumps up your salary.

Restricted career growth. Although company encourages employees to grow their careers with the company it is extremely difficult to move from one area of the business into another. I have applied for a number of Development Manager roles in large & complex but have been rejected immediately without any explanation. Even though I have requested an explanation from HR none has been given. HR and senior management unfortunately hinder employees career growth. HR does not advertise all the company's vacancies on the intranet, instead they prefer to use recruitment agencies and to pay an agency fee to find new employees. Salary is not great if you do not get free accommodation as a Development Manager.

They do pay well in some positions but for property managers and call centre staff the salary does not meet the benchmark of what you could get in other organisations. There is a bonus structure for most staff which they do tend to pay out irrespective of the overall company performance.

They seem to be completely clueless when it comes to property management, performance is poor across the board and clients are lost at an alarming rate. The only lever they have to try and sort any issues is to restructure, there are constant restructures and no addressing of the underlying issues.

Company has a great space with coffee machine, microwave, snacks and coffee machine. Plus available fresh fruits. Flexibility to work from home.

The worst team leader ever and management. Half of the team left because only one person and managers haven’t done nothing. No training enough, very low standards. Workers overloaded as no one last. No progress in career and low salary. PAs have no idea what they are doing, portfolio changes often … big mess!
