Does General Mills have a pension plan?

Pros

Pay and benefits are amazing. 401k is good but not great. Most holidays off. Still one of the few places you can earn a pension for retirement. Union plant

Cons

Insane amounts of overtime (ie 12 hour days) and working weekends; usually every other weekend but sometimes more. Lots of people will log 3k plus hours for the year.

Advice to Management

If you want to cut OT costs have leadership that knows what’s actually going on in the plant. I’ve seen so many people get forced over for overtime on jobs that weren’t needed. Team leaders just go off a schedule that can change erratically.
