Does IHS Markit offer relocation assistance?

Pros

Loved woking with my peers in my team and in other business lines

Cons

Pathetic management and direction from senior directors and sharholders - tired overworked and underpaid middle management and other employees. I stayed for years as I truly loved the team I worked with, I could not have asked for beter people to share my working day with. Unfortunatley this is where the happiness train stopped. For a global organisation that espouses a global workforce, I had to resign when I moved to another country, leaving my already overstreached team with an extra workload. Attempts to speak with HR about moving to another location were denied on flimsy excuses of higher renumeration and no budget. I was prepared to pay all my own relocation costs and take a reduction in salary - they still refused. This is not what they tell employes as they clearly state on the internal intranet moving to other locations as a global comany is something they support. They lie. HR are next to useless and are there only to protect the company and not you the employee. As is true with all global organisations IHSMarkit want to outsource all their positions to countries with the lowest paying salaries, so as to maximize profits to shareholders and directors at the expense of breaking up teams, overloading workers and in the end shortchanging their clients. We all know that there are many difficulties when working in distributed team spanning timezones, yet they push this as it saves money. A pity the company has this attitude as there as their greed is put above the protection and wellbeing of their most important assets, the people who actually do the work and their clinets take the brunt.

Advice to Management

None, they dont care and its not going to change in the near term. Better to work for a smaller company who cares that you make a difference and live in hope they do not get bought out by a company like IHSMarkit.
