Pros
No Pros whatsoever. I am convinced that although posing as having high standards and a quality product this company couldn't care less about anything but profits, lining the executive pockets at any cost.
Cons
My experience during the onboarding process was profoundly disappointing due to unethical and manipulative practices by S.N., who blatantly misrepresented the role and ignored my explicit concerns about transparency. This approach is not only unethical but also deeply damaging to NYL’s reputation and trustworthiness. I urge NYL to investigate such practices within its recruiting teams.
Additionally, I was alarmed by the outdated and inefficient technology systems, particularly regarding the insurance license testing platform. The system's antiquated design forced me to disable standard security protocols—a highly concerning requirement for a company that claims to prioritize privacy and security. When a technical issue caused my test to fail prematurely, the testing provider's customer service was dismissive and refused to offer a resolution, further compounding my frustration. While this may be a third-party issue, it reflects poorly on NYL’s brand.
Furthermore, I strongly recommend NYL reevaluate its compensation and support structures. Based on my experience and extensive research, the company does not provide competitive pay or adequate lead support, especially for new agents. This creates an unsustainable environment for employees, particularly those trying to establish themselves in the field.
These systemic issues are concerning, particularly given the revenue NYL generates and the standards its leadership should uphold. I hope you will take this feedback seriously and make meaningful improvements to protect the integrity of your brand and the well-being of your employees.
I am more than willing to discuss this further if it would be helpful.
