Didn't give many hours while I was working there unless you where teained in the kitchen. So there is a poor work life balance, not enough hours = can't pay bills, can't eat, can't do anything.

Do everything you can to ensure those who work there as their only source of income have as many hours as you can give them regardless of their position. Also train all the employees in every position so they can be able to make a living. Start offering doordash, postmates, uber eats, eat24. It'll increase revenue.
