      Application

I applied through university. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Abbott (Los Angeles, CA) in Oct 2014

      Interview

I spoke with recruitment personnel at an on-campus fair. Everyone was friendly, and I left a copy of my resume. I followed up with the recruiter, who said that I should apply online. There seemed to be no online link, but I heard there was a secret link. Unfortunately, that link did not work for me as well. However, I received a request for a digital interview and then a phone interview for follow up. The phone interview was supposed to be via telepresence but at the last minute they changed it to a phone interview. I was notified the next week that I got the job.

First was a digital interview submission, then followed by an informal presentation (impromptu topic) at their office. After that is the Assessment Center (with group activities, can be a bit technical) and then final interview with a few interviewers (senior management level).

      Interview

Do not waste your time in applying in this programme unless you are a First class honours student and is very confident in your impromptu presentation skills. Whole process consists of 3 rounds. There will be more than 40 applicants fighting for 1-2 positions. Abbott agreed to share their feedback on our performance but will not tell you anything after they have decided not to take you in.
