I applied online. I interviewed at Abbott in Sept 2024
Interview
I had an initial phone interview with an HR representative, whose interviewing style came across as quite abrasive. The conversation felt more like a test of how much I could memorize about the company rather than a genuine interview. I was told I would hear the result the following week, but I had to follow up weekly for three weeks before receiving a generic response from the company.

Approach to working in a lab environment and my experiences
I applied in-person. I interviewed at Abbott (Witney, England)
Interview
The interview consisted of two distinct parts: a personality assessment and technical questions. The personality segment included common questions such as identifying strengths, weaknesses, and recounting past mistakes. The technical portion was centred on the scientific aspects relevant to the job position, requiring a deeper understanding of the relevant science topics.

Question 1
How would you plan and design a scientific project?
It was a lengthy process; I was invited to the interview one month after submitting my application. I was asked both general and complex technical questions. The interviewers were friendly and fostered a relaxed atmosphere.
Applied to a scientist position at Abbott Nutrition. Was reached out by a recruiter via email after couple of weeks. The email was short and just asked a few standard questions. I replied the email, but never heard back from them since then. Sent about 5 follow-up messages afterwards, but never got any response. A rejection letter came after about a month without any update.
