I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Aegis Therapies (Southaven, MS) in Apr 2011
Interview
Came in for a tour, then sat down for a brief interview. A classmate heard I was looking for a new job, and knew that they had an opportunity. Very informal process, seemed eager for me to join, but may have been influenced by classmate. The initial salary offer was extremely low as compared to the market. Area VP bumped it up later for fear I would be poached by a competitor. Recommend vigorous research of local salaries. A real demotivator when you discover that you are making less than others when you are contributin at least as much.
Aegis had a simple interview with generalized questions about schedule availability and pay rate expectations. They asked a few questions about experience and mostly explained their company. There was minimal pressure and the company was open to negotiate.
Very casual and laid back interview. Conversation was more focused on my experiences and needs rather than formal interview questions. The DOR was very helpful and focused on building a good team environment. She seemed like a very supportive and understanding DOR.
3 phone interviews, usually around 15-45 minute for each one. First to get to know me, second to go over experience, third solidifying questions on pay expectations and more about the role
