I interviewed for the National Campaign Assistant role for the Aga Khan Foundation Canada. The contract was for a year, with the possibility of extension. This was the first round interview (phone screening). However, I did not continue to the second round interview (Skype or face-to-face interview with Excel assignment), as my salary expectations did not match what the interviewer offered at the end of the interview.
The interview was straightforward and mostly skills-based. I was able to ask about the reporting hierarchy and deliverables of the role. My interviewer seemed passionate about her role and the organization and had mentioned professional development opportunities when I inquired about the organizational culture.
