First and second rounds went well- video interview & than a Skype interview with a recruiter. Final round was incredibly uncomfortable. The first interviewer was really nice and I learned a lot from her. I was assigned a case study where I had to pick two advisors for each brief and explain why. The second interviewer was incredibly rude. He asked me a ton of personal questions which I'm pretty sure you're not even legally allowed to ask...he second guessed everything I said (even though I gave him well thought out answers) and criticized me for applying to jobs across all industries instead of the one I was just passionate about (sorry I have student loans and don't have the luxury to lay around and wait for my dream job). Like others said in this board, they expect a lot of you for not having any formal training. They seem to be looking for a perfect mold and you've either got it or you don't. Don't let them fool you, this is essentially a sales job in disguise. Yes you do the research & connect with other business professionals, but you're essentially selling Alphasights services to the client and the advisor you're trying to connect. It's a giant call center...I wouldn't call it consulting in the slightest. It's a shame because I was really excited about this interview, but the interviewer made it a really unpleasant experience. He asked about my SAT scores which I thought was bizarre. Even if they gave me an offer I wouldn't have taken it, I knew from the minute I left that interview it wasn't the place for me. Know their BREAD process and be ready to answer every single question about your background dating back to high school...
