I applied online. The first interview was a virtual interview, in which you record your answers to a few questions. It was easy, though a bit awkward to record yourself. A week later, I was invited to a video interview. The HR person asked me when was a good time for an interview. I gave several possible dates and she comes back with an entirely different date altogether. Okay, that's fine... but why bother asking me when is good for me at all then?
Then, she never followed up with me after we scheduled a time. When I contacted her the morning of the interview, it turned out she wasn't in that day. So I had to call the main company number. I talked to two people before being sent email instructions on how to enter the video interview. I was very deterred by the unprofessionalism of the entire process.
First of all, I had to wait 10-15 minutes before someone finally appeared on the screen. I was supposed to interview with a woman, but it turned out to be a man who obviously did not prepare to interview me. The camera was also very awkwardly on the other side of the room and the connection was horrible, so I had a hard time hearing him clearly. My interviewer was very distant, sidetracked, made little eye contact, basically read my resume to me.... it was just rude and I was immediately turned off by him and the company. Also, some other interviewee randomly entered our video chat and just looked lost and confused before he disappeared... what the hell. It was such a bad impression that I didn't even want the job anymore midway through the interview and tuned out to what he was saying, ending up with a very awkward conversation in which he asked me a case question and I had no idea how to answer because I hadn't been listening to him. Completely awkward. Needless to say, I did not get to the next round.
I can't say much for the company. It could be a great position, but the complete lack of professionalism and energy from the interview process did not leave me with a good impression.
