I applied for the Graduate Analyst position at London. The process lasted for around 1 month from contacted by hr to interview. I went through HR screening and user interview. The interview process was okay.
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at AlphaSights in Oct 2014
Interview
The first step in the recruitment process was to fill out a one page online application form. It asks for personal details, a résumé plus a statement regarding one of AlphaSights core values. All of them are mentioned, the applicant is free to pick one and write 200 words about it. There is no time limit for this task.
The next step is an online task, it was exactly the same process that other members mentioned here. They give you 5 seconds to prepare and 30 seconds to answer 5 questions. It is awkward since you see yourself on the screen. The steps in the process are very self-explanatory and easy to understand. Make sure you prepare in advance because 5 seconds aren't sufficient enough and there is no chance to redo the questions.
I was rejected after that step, they don't give you an explanation or state reasons why you didn't make it to the next step. However, they mention in the email that the task has to be accomplished within 72 hours. I waited for 5 days until I took the online task since I was out of town over the weekend and they send me the task on Friday morning.

Question 1
5 Different questions, not very complicated and quite easy to prepare. What book are you reading? Who do you admire the most? What is it that AlphaSight does? What other jobs did you apply for?
I applied online. I interviewed at AlphaSights (London, England) in Dec 2025
Interview
The interview was conducted online and lasted around 20 minutes. It was a one-to-one video interview with a hiring manager. The questions were mainly focused on my background, previous experience, and motivation for applying to the Graduate Analyst position. They also asked about my expected salary and availability. The atmosphere was professional but friendly, and the interview followed a structured format.
Good interview, asking primarily about characteristics and personal experiences. Very self-focused, with a lot of emphasis on personality rather than technical ability. Overall interviewers in both screening and first-round interviews were nice people and polite.
