I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Amazon Web Services (Washington, DC) in Apr 2022
Interview
It was a 5 hours loop interview with one hour break in between the 3rd and 4th interview. The interviewers are the hiring manager, one senior member of the team, one senior member of the organization (who has the right to veto the decision) and one AWS employee from a completely different team. All the questions are based on the stories you can create with your part experiences. Each story must relate to at least one of the Leadership Principles of Amazon. The stories must be formed in the STAR format. The questions are below: asked by Amazon Describe a time where a feature deliverable was falling between two teams with neither taking ownership and referring to the other team. How did you address the situation? Tell me about a time you did something at work that wasn't your responsibility / in your job description Describe an instance where you had to make an important decision without approval from your boss Tell me about a time you took ownership of a problem that was not the focus of your organization How would you make Amazon.com better? When was the last time that you sacrificed a long term value to complete a short term task?
