In one word, MISLEADING. I just came from American Income Life - Diecedue Agency. Boyyyyy... I'm LIVID. Let me tell yall what just happened.. I was contacted by a woman with DIECEDUE AGENCY" (nothing about American Income Life) saying she saw my resume online, and they were hiring for a Customer Service/Call Center Manager.
FANTASTIC!! That's so for me!! (or so I thought). I saw they were in Insurance (as I was on my laptop during the call, and well, GOOGLE tells it) and I asked her directly.. "Is this for Insurance Sales, because I'm NOT a sales person". She told me "NO, THIS IS SPECIFIC TO A CS MANAGER, NOT SALES. You'd be working for unions we contract with." Ok, so I agreed to come in April 10, 2018 at 9:45 AM. I did.
A man called me back, gave me a quick "interview", asked if I had an hour to learn more about the company, what they do, and the position. Again, I asked him 'Is this for Sales, because I DON'T DO SALES." He hesitates, and says "just listen to the part about managers." Ummm...OK. He lead me to a room with about 15 other people... Then comes the presentation.... Ok, I'm down.
Well, as things progress, it becomes obvious... It's for insurance sales. To become a "Manager", first you have to sell freaking insurance. As soon as this was clear, I expressed to the group that I was mislead in showing up, and had wasted gas and more importantly, time. If they can't be honest in getting people in, how honest will they be with the rest of things. As I got in my car, I noticed another person from the group leaving as well. He had also been mislead. Shameful.
