      Brewery Development Program Interview

      25 Feb 2016
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Saint Louis, MO
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through university. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Anheuser-Busch InBev (Saint Louis, MO) in Feb 2016

      Interview

I gave my resume to the recruiters at my university's career fair(Tuesday) and did a mini pre-screen interview. I was contacted that night(around 11pm). I was given 2 days to take online exams(basic math/personality/management style). That was a pretty tight timeline with other interviews possible/exams and everything else and the tests take a couple hours easily. Around Friday at noon I was sent an email to sign up for an on campus interview the next Wednesday and told there was an info session Tuesday night. They sent a sign in around the info session. After the info session I talked to a few recruiters and they weren't very good at answering a lot of my questions. The interview was behavioral "name a time when..." questions. They seemed to want me to miraculously be a different major, which was a bit frustrating since they'd pursued my major. I asked a few questions about what sets AB apart/benefits and was really disappointed in the answers(or lack of). They didn't seem to want to/know how to sell the company. The name was supposed to do that alone, I guess. They could give almost no benefits and what sets them apart is they "make beer." Not really what I was looking for/expecting from a company that is so iconic and has to have so many benefits for its employees.

      Brewery Development Program Interview

      31 Mar 2016
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Eugene, OR
      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied through university. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Anheuser-Busch InBev (Eugene, OR) in Mar 2016

      Interview

All behavioral questions, and the provide no immediate feedback during the process. (Lots of weird silence while they write down answers) they grade you on a rubix, and then your score determines if you go forward. Then you have online assesments. One personality, followed by a timed short math, followed by another personality. Then I was pushed to a TAP test, which was 3.5 hours. Three sections, the first is making up a brewing schedule with the provided information. (I stumbled through this part, but the key is to be responsive to the problems they will find with your schedule.) Second part you have to talk with an employee there have been problems with. Here make sure you talk directly, but positively to them. I referred to their job description and explained what we need from him. You have 15 minutes for this call. Use them! He will say OK then quickly. Doesn't mean you have convinced him of what they need. Third part you have an employee meeting with two others. They will push back at everything you say. Stay focused and keep the meeting moving. Be positive and motivating! Passed that and then had a 30 min behavioral phone interview with 3 AB employees. Sadly I didn't pass that one and received a message the next day.
