Applied for an engineering role with 6+ years of highly relevant experience that matched all their stated criteria — long tenure, product ownership, startup-like pace, breadth across stack, etc. Got a generic rejection email listing "areas to improve" that were already clearly addressed in my resume. They claim to “review your background,” but then send copy-paste feedback like “if these were present, it would strengthen your application.” If you actually read my resume, you'd know they were. Don’t pretend to offer thoughtful feedback when you’re just batch-sending rejections. It's lazy and disrespectful.

I applied online. I interviewed at Ashby (Barcelona) in Feb 2025
Interview
I applied online, them I got an email with a several questions to answer during the interview. I wanted to higlight that during the interview I was being recorded without a preliminary disclaimer o request about it, it was like getting the room and the recording started. On the other hand, it felt like the typical rushed-one-way interrogatories where candidates have no chance to ask questions at the end. Finally, I got a rejection email (one hour later) from the Engineering Manager who talked to me during the interrogatory. I would not recommend this company.
