I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Audible
Interview
Phone interview then In-Person interview with 5 people. In-Person was in Newark.
A lot of "Tell me about a time you..." questions. To me, it was a red flag. I suspect there's pretty high turn-over and they are trying to weed out folks who will get frustrated easily and leave.
Other questions included more standard design a system for 'X' and algorithms. For the algorithm questions, I was struck by how the interviewers didn't help. For the first question, you have to sort the input which isn't obvious for the final solution; it took me a while to have that 'ah ha' moment and get to the right answer. I think suggesting something like "you can change the input" for a candidate who doesn't see that in the first 5 mins is reasonable. In the last interview, I purposely answered an Order of Magnitude question wrong (as I was no longer interested) then started to work out how the problem was not O(n) but O(S^n) and the interviewer actively discouraged me from my revised answer.
Office space was open. I was surprised how quiet it was. You could hear a pin drop. No friendly banter, no water cooler talk. Just silent screen staring. Laptops and screens also looked outdated.
I was not offered a position but would not have accepted one if offered.

Interview
The interview process was really smooth. The interviewers were professional, kind, and prepared to pair program. Apart from the behavioral interview, which was all star format stories, each interviewer asked one question related to an Audible value. After giving my answer, we'd hop into the technical part.

It takes time and the entrance exam is really hard. You will need to know most all of leetcode and even then the questions they ask are framed in a way that involves Amazon products so it can be confusing
