Interview
There are four steps. Step 1: Resume screening; step 2: online cognitive test; step 3: voice-only AI interview; step 4: in-person interview. Each step can sift out some candidates. The first two steps can be done very quickly. The invitation to undertake the 3rd step came promptly. The AI interview will ask follow-up questions on the experiences you mentioned to probe deeper into your reflections. After a three-week wait, including Easter, an email came to notify of no further progress. No specific reason was given.

Interview
Based on my experience so far, the AEMO graduate recruitment process is structured and focuses on both technical capability and behavioural fit.
It typically starts with an online application, followed by a gamified assessment to evaluate problem-solving and cognitive skills.
The next stage is an AI video interview, where candidates respond to behavioural and motivation-based questions.
Successful candidates are then invited to an assessment centre, which includes both group and individual activities to assess communication, teamwork, and analytical thinking.
