I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Backbase (Amsterdam) in Sept 2016
Interview
There was an initian assesment call to for the recruiter and I to get general knowledge about each other. Afterwards there was an interview with the hiring manager who asked abot specific bits from my experience and some situational questions. I was invited to present a business case in person in the HQ in Amsterdam. The case was SWOT analysis of the department I was applying for and the hiring manger helped me with some guidance on the points that they wish to see covered. During the presentation there were recruiter, peer, hiring manager and senior colleague from another department. They were upfront and honest by praising the good efforts and spot-on suggestions and pointing out the shortcomings. Eventually they did not extend an offer because I "lacked the energy for this position" and they changed requirements during the process.
