Interview
Worst interview process ever!
I initially started off speaking to the recruiter (however, she was very nice). After that phone call I was scheduled to speak with the hiring manager (about a week later or so). After speaking to him, they said I had to speak to four more people in the hiring department! FOUR! At all different times too!
(Before I even was invited to come on site).
Meanwhile, during these weeks I had to take an assessment test (okay, no big deal as many companies do this). However, after the test they said I needed to complete this “intensive project” (which honestly took me hours!) I finished it and was pleased and confident with my results. I thought
I was finally going to come on site. Nope, yet again they had me speak to ANOTHER PERSON. This was now the fifth person I spoke to (not counting the initial interview with the recruiter).
After months had past they said they wanted me to speak to someone else in a different department because they thought I was better suited for a different position. I couldn’t believe it after three months and six people they’re just now figuring this out?!?
I said I’d be happy to but would really like to come on-site as I explained all of the back-and-forth I’ve been going through. They agreed and set up a on-site interview. Which was located downtown Cleveland. (Mind you, I have lived in Cleveland my whole life and worked downtown for many years). This was by far the most confusing building to get to! Awful! After the on-site interview six people later they said they would get back to me and never did!! I honestly can’t believe how many months I’ve wasted and how much time I invested in a company that gave little to no care about their potential candidates!
Obviously they saw something about me if I had to connect with six different people, took an assessment test, completed a project and FINALLY got called on-site. It didn’t matter to them! Nope, they completely ghosted me and I haven’t heard from them since (after I’ve sent a follow-up emails and everything).
Screw this company they think there are the upcoming GOOGLE....nope!
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Brightedge Technologies
Interview
Typical screening call to ensure general alignment, followed by a series of individual calls. Then a project that's presented in front of a group.
The calls were fine - nothing out of the ordinary. Conversational for the most part, candid Q&A. Some behavioral but not heavy.
Project was to analyze a site for SEO and provide an account plan. While not necessarily difficult, it did take a bit of time.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Questions were pretty standard, and aimed at understanding core CSM aptitude. Focus was a mix of common account management and CSM aspects, with some more technical and content SEO peppered in.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Brightedge Technologies (Akron, OH) in Apr 2022
