Out of context . But. I am just frustrated with this work from home due to joint family. I am living with my mom dad . 2 brothers there wives and 2 childrens. I am unmarried . I have the room but it's almost shared . Every one come and sit in my room. My brothers have room but that is private because they are married. Really frustrated. I want to go back to my base location but my parents are old due to which I don't want to go. Please suggest .

I am in notice period and my current employer is told they will give me promotion but in other company they are giving me 120% hike including variables. For which one shall I go for ? Promotion or salary hike.

Off topic: Does your spouse (wife) who is also earning support their parents financially? What do you think about it in a long term when you have kids and expenses increasing

I was laid off yesterday with immediate effect. So I do not hold any offers. Now when I go and search in the market, I don't want the HRs or hiring managers to know that I was laid off. What justification can I give? Because they will have two questions, why resgined without an offer and why you haven't taken any offer during notice period.
