I interviewed for an Underwriter Trainee position with CNA on campus through my University Career Center. The questions were mostly behavioral questions. The interviewer read off prepared questions and recorded your answers on a laptop.

1. A general application 2. An online interview where I submitted video responses to 5-6 questions. 3. Final round interview (zoom) with 4 members from the team, either in a panel or 2 at a time.

The entire hiring process is daunting. Everything takes forever, HR is a joke and there’s an obvious reason for such Hugh turnover. Drug test and background check got lost in Cyberspace twice.

The interview process started with a screening interview at the university career fair. It was followed by a second round interview with two underwriters on campus. The final round interview was with 3 branch managers and the regional SVP at CNA's office.
