I applied through university. I interviewed at CNN (Atlanta, GA)
Interview
I had an interview with two people and then moved on to a timed editing test where I was given multiple scripts to review within 20 minutes. I also had written questions I had to answer about what I’d do in certain situations.

Question 1
If you worked at CNN, what 5 stories would be your top stories for the day?
Come prepared, but don’t psych yourself out. They’re generally nice people, and the vibe is more “we want to get to know you as a person” than “we’re trying to grill you.” Walk in ready to talk through your experience, ask thoughtful questions, and show you understand what the role actually involves — but keep it conversational and confident.

Question 1
If you were producing the daily news today what stories would you include?
You go through two rounds of interviews and the whole process takes a couple weeks. You are then interviewed by two managers and they ask you how you consume news and what your long-term goals are.
