I applied through a recruiter. The process took 8 weeks. I interviewed at Cadence Design Systems (Milpitas, CA)
Interview
Interviewed by five people on first visit, one person on second visit and then, on my third round of interviews at company headquarters, my day began with a breakfast interview at 7:00 AM and my last interview ended at dinner at approximately 8:00 PM. During the day, aside from the breakfast and dinner interviews, each interview lasted 30 minutes. I lost count of how many people I met that day. By the time they offered me the job, I had invested so much time interviewing with the company, I just couldn't justify turning it down. Dumb me; by the end of my second week with the company, I discovered that they had either withheld information, misrepresented facts, or lied about five different things. Had I only known....
21 months later I was gone. Most political company I've ever worked for.

Interview
I was reached out to interview for a role in the HR department. After providing my availability, I had to follow up with the coordinator only to be informed that the phone screen was going to take place the same day. After two weeks of no communication from the coordinator, I followed up again for the next steps. Was brought onsite to meet the team and complete an Excel test which was delayed because the interviewer did not have it ready. Got news that the team wanted to bring me back for final rounds/final call and to retake the Excel test because it didn't save. The coordinator did not confirm the final call so I was taken by surprise when the hiring manager called. Lack of communication and the technical difficulties were very unprofessional.

Interview
Hiring manager called me for a first round phone interview. Hiring manager was 15 minutes late calling me, no email to inform me at all. Not only was this person late, sounded like they were driving on the road! Completely unprofessional. This is not the type of supervisor I would ever want to work for. Mind you, an interview is a two-way street to discuss potential fit, it's not one sided. Perhaps it is just this department/manager, but a red flag for me.
I applied through other source. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Cadence Design Systems (San Jose, CA) in Jul 2015
Interview
I had a great experience in the interview process - it was comfortable, open, and the flow of the questions and feel were very welcoming and topical. In addition, my interviewer, now manager, spent time explaining the position and what exactly the duties and responsibilities would be.
