      Training and Services Administrator Interview

      2 Nov 2015
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Waltham, MA
      Declined offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Carbon Black (Waltham, MA) in Apr 2015

      Interview

Having previously applied for another position with this company, I applied again to get my foot in the door. After having done an initial phone interview, I was scheduled for a couple of hours to meet with a few different key people throughout the company. Some of it was using virtual meeting software (like GTM through the company IPAD) and some live meetings. Overall, I have to say all the people I met were great, the office seemed wonderful and definitely a start up atmosphere and a place where they work and play hard. Unfortunately, or fortunately (if it works), there is consistent change in process and growth of positions. It took them a little bit of time to get some answers through the management team (typical with my experience in business) and they hired another executive they wanted me to meet with before proceeding with the offer. However, by this time I was in the final stages (1-2 days away from a signed offer) with another company that was too good to pass up. HR was great in waiting and when I went with the other offer - very graceful and understanding. I'm glad I made the decision I did, and if anything were to have fallen through, I would definitely be at their door steps!

      Question 1

In dealing with this position, you will be working with several departments. How would you get work completed when you have close due dates from different departments? (Indicating that there wouldn't be enough time.)
