I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Charles Schwab in Jun 2009
Interview
I was hired through a recruiter who had posted the job on craigslist. She didn't have all the facts about the job and I was slightly mislead. I think who you interview with (a manager, some of your possible coworkers, etc) will really vary at Schwab. I interviewed with two coworkers and my manager. I think this was a good process.

Question 1
I was asked some technical trading questions. I hadn't worked where I had been placing trades before so I couldn't answer these. I was honest and the manager seemed to appreciate that.

Smooth, on time, questions were what I expected. Asked about previous work, times I solved problems ect. Seemed genuinely interested and invested in my answers. Shared information about the company so I would know at least the basics about it.
I applied online. I interviewed at Charles Schwab (Austin, TX) in Feb 2020
Interview
It was a very short conversation it lasted about 10 minutes. The interviewer gave a general description of the role and how it worked. They asked very generic questions and seemed to be taking notes.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Charles Schwab (Austin, TX) in Mar 2018
Interview
There are 3 rounds of interviews. The first round is mostly about the company and where you see yourself, the second assessed your personality and I believe there was an online test to determine your mathematical abilities and familiarity with investments. The last interview was over Skype as I am not currently located near the job site. Hiring staff was friendly, helpful, and responsive.
