      Branch Manager Trainee Program Interview

      9 Feb 2016
      Anonymous interview candidate
      San Francisco, CA
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Chase (San Francisco, CA) in Dec 2015

      Interview

Apply for position like any other job on company's career website. Description of Branch Manager Trainee Program is VERY deceiving. Job descriptions says program is to train candidate to become a Branch Manager. Interviewed with market manager who apparently thinks that sales isn't needed to succeed for a branch to make their goals. Says people who flake and drop the ball are better candidates. Then goes around and flip flops saying branch sales goals must be meet for revenue growth and widening.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Questions were mostly salary and if the amount was less than the interviewer's own salary, then they would become snooty. Also questions are deceiving in that they want candidates to reveal strategies of their competitors are tactics they are using to succeed and/or run operations. In the past I applied for another position with Chase and was asked why I didn't work for them back then as if they were doing me a big favor.
