I applied online to chipotle on a thursday night, and the next day i recieved an email letting me know they wanted to interview me on the following Tuesday at 4pm. I arrived about 20 minutes early, let the cashier know that i was there for an interview and he told me to have a seat, about 10 minutes later 4 other people had a arrived. Turns out it was a group job interview, which made me less nervous. 10 minutes after 4pm the manager came out and took us outside for the interview, he introduced himself and said his story of how he got to chipotle and what he does and how much he loves it. Then he started asking us questions, why do you wanna work at chipotle? I had done my research here at Glassdoor, so i knew exactly what to answer. I tried to be cheerful and loud enough for him to hear me. He also asked how my friends would describe me? and he also asked us if we knew what food with integrity was? Of course i raised my hand and answered, No one else besides me and the boy next to me answered, He seemed very pleased with my answer, and then he asked us if we knew the 13 characteristics. I raised my hand and answered with a couple. The interview process took about 20-30 minutes, and was not that difficult or hard. After we were done he told us he would email us if we were wanted for a second interview. Everyone besides me nd the boy sitting next to me was very dull, and didnt look cheerful and answered without emotion.
Later that night i received an email that they wanted a second interview, The next day the manager called me and asked if I could go in that day for the 2nd interview, unfortunately i couldnt so we agreed on the original date.
The next interview was one on one, only one other guy in my group passed the interview as well (the boy sitting next to me) . We waited about an hour to get interviewed. This time it was a different manager, He was very friendly and nice, he asked me pretty much the same questions, but this time he was reading my application and under "what is important to you?" i had put my education, and music. He asked me what i wanted to go to school for, i told business, and then he read the part where i put music, asked me if i played any instruments, and music i liked? etc. This interview focused more on my personality, and was a piece of cake. We laughed and it was a great interview. Although he would not maintain eye contact.
This is coming from a person who had social anxiety.
3 days later I received a call from the manager he said i was hired. And today i went to orientation with 3 other people and they were really awesome. I will be starting tomorrow or two days. This is my first job!
