      Management Trainee Interview

      1 Mar 2010
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Bakersfield, CA
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 6 days. I interviewed at Cintas (Bakersfield, CA) in Jun 2009

      Interview

When I first applied for cintas I did not know about the management trainee position, it was only after i had made a good impression on the H.R. manager that I was told i was being considered for that position, rather than the one that i applied for. I was forced to sit through four interviews that day, each with an endless stream of questions (mostly the same question asked in different ways) each time i breather a sigh of relief at having finished this "interview" I was told to wait for another one, sometimes sitting in the lobby for an hour before the next manager would come and talk to me. I was told that i was doing excellent during the interview and that I had all but assured myself a position. then I was told i would be doing my final interview with with the v.p. As I went to this interview I bought a new suit and met off location with the vp who had just arrived. He then proceeded to throw out all formal interview questions and just asked me questions about myself, I found this odd because I was forced to share personal and often irrelevant information with this stranger who was obviously judging me based on character flaws that I was told to reveal. He then proceeded to have me ask him questions about the job. Each answer given by him seemed like an attempt to talk me out of the job and at the end, itsounded like I was applying for the worst job on the planet, after thirty minutes of continuous questioning about the job, he still was not satisfied and wanted me to ask him more questions, though I could not think of anymore, this left him disappointed and he abruptly ended the interview. It was quite disheartening to go from being sure that I was getting hired for a nice and respectable position that rewarded hard work, to basically being shot down for the job because I failed to ask too many questions, or I did not answer questions about my personality correctly, in the end the way he made the job sound, maybe he was doing me a favor, my words of advice, be weary of the final interview1

      Interview

It was a fairly easy interview process. They asked questions about what I did in college as far as academics and internships. Nothing too difficult was covered. As long as you prepare, you will be fine.

      Interview

They recruited me out of school. I had 8 rounds of interviews, and was promised the job in the second to last interview with the last being a formality. They rescheduled my final interview three times with three different people. Ultimately did not get the role.
