I applied through a recruiter. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Co-op (Manchester, England) in Apr 2023
Interview
Really friendly and enjoyable interview. Lots of communication prior, with clear understanding of what was expected. Two interviewers from coop, very conversational and useful two-way discussion. Follow up was informative and prompt.

Question 1
How do you think coop is different from other supermarket chains given its ownership model?
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Co-op in Sept 2020
Interview
2 Rounds - 1st round update provided within 4 days.
HOWEVER 2ND ROUND!!
2nd Round: Did not hear back for 4 weeks.
When I did, after chasing HR in the 4th week merely because of the seniority of the role and having a 2nd round interview, I was eventually phoned to be told that although I interviewed well, their opinion that I 'lacked' people management.
Unsure if it was a close call with another candidate seen as it took 4 weeks to make a decision or whether the so-called hiring manager has in fact BAD TIME MANAGEMENT SKILLS herself.
IT SHOUKLD NOT TAKE 4 WEEKS TO PROVIDE AN UPDATE FOR ANY INTERVIEW REGARDLESS OF STAGE OR SENIORITY.
