Application
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Comcast (North Charleston, SC) in Nov 2016
Interview
Applied on company website. Recruiter called me the next day. Talked for forty-five (45) minutes about my current job history and my skills. Recruiter sent me the link (VIA email) to take Comcast assessment. Which includes a listening section of four phone calls and personality questions takes about seventy minutes to complete. I emailed recruiter back stating I completed assessment. Three days later received a phonew call from a different recruiter to do a 1:1 interview with managers, schedule time and date. When I arrived at my interview which included nineteen other interview candidates, we all toured the building. We all sat in a conference room and was given a history of Comcast. After presentation, we were call one by one to do interviews with managers. Basically just asking about your current or past jobs. Mainly talks and ask same questions recruiter ask. After the first interview if the manager was interested you moved on to the next part of the interview. Second interview you meet with the team manager on 1:1. Manager ask more intense questions. No right or wrong answerside just want to see how confidence you are in your answers. Entire interview process takes bout one hour and a half to complete. Three days after interview received an email from Comcast to do a drug test and background check. Background company Comcast uses goes back ten years. Takes atleast two- three weeks to complete. Recruiter stays in touch with you through entire process (VIA email and phone calls). After drugtest and background are completed and you pass each you will receive Welcome to Comcast via email.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
1.What would you do if a customer wants to cancel services with Comcast?
Applied for the position along with others late February, received an email to take an online assessment. I then had a phone interview a few days later and then received a call inviting me to the hiring event Comcast was having for the CAE position I applied for. There were about 20 of us that showed up and the first thing we went through was the presentation of Comcast, whats expected of us if hired and the job itself. Then called in individually for an interview with 2 supervisors. Questions were pretty easy, just the typical questions asked in every interview (why the Comcast, Difficult customer etc) and problem/resolution questions. Was then asked to take apart a pen and put it back together. After that I would have to turn around and not face the supervisors and instruct one of them on how to put it together without looking at the pin. Afterwards was asked to stay and meet with the head manager and she asked me some pretty basic questions (went over work history, why Comcast, open availabilit etc). They informed me that I would hear a decision from them within 24-48 business hours. I received a call later on that day that they wanted to extend a job offer continent on a background check and drug test. Training starts 3/31 and I'm excited and can't wait.
