I was contacted for an initial phone screen. The recruiter was very nice and seemed to have a good understanding of my background. I was put in touch with the hiring manager for a phone interview and thought the call went really well. After not hearing back after that and following up, the recruiter wanted to have another phone call and completely blew me off twice during our scheduled calls just to tell me that they were not moving forward with my application for this position. My background couldn't have been a better fit, so when I questioned why, they gave me an answer that was actually completely inaccurate of my background that I clearly explained and is shown on my resume. When I said I was confused because that was inaccurate and prodded further, they continued to give me answers that were 100% inaccurate of my background, almost like they have no idea or understanding of it at all. It makes me seem like they were just making things up for the sake of it and not being honest (as many other companies do). They then referred me to one of their other companies that I have absolutely no background or experience in for a similar role. How does that make sense? What a terrible experience.
