      Manager Interview

      21 Apr 2016
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 months. I interviewed at Cornerstone OnDemand in Jun 2015

      Interview

Long interview process of 4 months with 6 interviewers with different functions or roles. They gave overview of the structure and the expected support needed. Frankly it is not easy to clear all 6 interviewers as each of them have own set of expectations of what this role needs to do. As the interview progress, I would think that I stand a high chance since I have been meeting with so many folks but the ultimate reply to me - they have decided on someone with sales experience. This is not a sales role and if one has sales experience is a plus. This can be decided upfront at earlier stage if they feel that I do not have a key factor of sales experience then we do not need to go through such long interview cycle. Normally when one can progress through so many rounds, we can be almost confident that we can close this and therefore I have declined other offers that came through as I wanted to work for them. This really upsets me as to how this was managed.

      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 5 months. I interviewed at Cornerstone OnDemand (Chicago, IL) in Jan 2016

      Interview

HR reached out to me via LinkedIn. Set up the phone screen interview with HR. After the HR phone screen, interviewed with the Director. After the Director, did an assignment-driven presentation interview with the Director and the Director's team. The assignment was lengthy and appeared to me to be having me do work for them. In essence, I believe the assignments were to help them get work done, for free! After months of interviewing and the Director telling me I was one of the top three, I never heard anything back. No follow-up from the Director nor the company. So, I don't know if they ever hired for this position. I was told this position has been posted several times but the Director never follows through with hiring someone. What a waste of hope and time. I loved this company but this experience left me feeling otherwise. Good
