I used to be a huge fan of Cornerstone OnDemand until my phone interview. I will make a huge effort to steer away my friends and family from this company. As soon as the conversation began the person interviewing me sounded extremely negative and that he/she did not want to be interviewing me at the time. It seemed like he/she already had made up their mind about who the candidate was for that role. He/she did not go over the role and a synopsis of the company and I was surprised. Even though I studied the role and company, it would have been nice to go more in depth with each point. I was not given a fair chance. I was asked only a few questions such as, "When have you failed?" and "Why Cornerstone OnDemand? At the 10 min mark I was asked if I had any other questions. I couldn't believe he/she did not want to dive into other questions. I will never forget asking, "What advice would you give to the successful candidate in order to succeed in this role?" and the interviewer's first words saying "Ask better questions." What a rude way to reply. Is it bad to ask for advice? Is it bad to ask about what the company culture is like? I cannot wait to join a much better organization and do better than your business, Cornerstone OnDemand. DO BETTER.
