I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Costco Wholesale (Madison Heights, MI) in Oct 2015
Interview
The interview process was pretty standard for retail. It was about an hour long, and in that time I was interviewed by 3 different people. It was a relaxed setting and everyone was very friendly. At the conclusion of the interview, I was given a date and time for the orientation. I am looking forward to starting next week.

Question 1
They asked several questions, such as describe a time when you handled a difficult situation and how you remained calm, as well as describe a time you dealt with a co-worker that didn't perform their job duties.

Interview
I applied online and received a call where they asked for basic information and availability, then scheduled an in-person interview for the following week.
Upon arriving at the interview, I was left waiting for over 40 minutes in the employee break room. Eventually, I was taken to a cluttered and unprofessional storage office.
The manager—or interviewer—arrived with a rude attitude. She didn’t introduce herself, her role, or the details of the position. The first thing she asked me to do was sign my printed application to confirm the accuracy of my information. After that, she repeated the same questions I had already answered during the phone screening, followed by basic behavioral questions. However, her tone was heavy, judgmental, and dismissive, as she denied and disputed some of my answers and comments.
The entire process felt unnecessarily intense and unprofessional, especially for a seasonal position. After investing my time and energy into two interviews, the least they could do was send an email notifying candidates of their status, whether they were selected or not.
