I applied in-person. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Costco Wholesale (Abbotsford, BC) in May 2014
Interview
Went smoothly, Interviewed by assistant managers. Talked a little bit about the company, the positions being offered and the term of employment. In some cases the term could be extended. Talked about what I could expect next and approximately when I would hear back.
Very enjoyable experience interviewed with 3 team members all were very nice and was straightforward get to know you and your background kinda of interview. After interview heard back in a few days about an offer and start date
I applied online. The process took 4 months. I interviewed at Costco Wholesale
Interview
Applied multiple times for multiple positions at several locations near my house over the course of 4 months. Received a call from one of the managers after 8pm on a Saturday night (strange to me) about coming in for an in person interview in a few days. Went in for the interview, they were very disorganized and ended up waiting for over 20 minutes to be interviewed because they were behind. Met a really friendly employee in the break room. Interviewed with 2 different managers and they both looked like they didn't want to be there which made me think ok maybe this is a mistake. Basic questions were asked, but I could see the manager just checking off boxes and not really listening or taking notes about my answers or experience. I felt like they already had their minds made up after question 1 and there was no connection, especially wearing masks. They said they would be in touch if I made it to the next interview. I never heard anything back so I would assume I didn't get hired. I feel like I dodged a bullet though, those managers were not personable and they probably shouldn't be conducting interviews.
