I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Decathlon (Amsterdam) in Aug 2016
Interview
Sent my application via email and received an email the next day for an invitation for an intro call. Then didn't hear from them for a few days. I emailed again to see when we could schedule a call. Ended up receiving a date and time 8 days later. Emailed them back to confirm and to ask whether this was going to be on Skype or Hangouts. Again no reply.
We ended up having the call (which the person was an hour late for) and it looked like a great opportunity. Had a really good feeling after the call, regardless of the struggles to get this arranged.
Then again, didn't hear from them again, eventhough that was promised in the call. Had to email again to follow up and ask what's going on. They came back with a message saying the could not offer me the desired salary. But, came with a number anyway and asked to have a 2nd interview in case I was still interested, even with the amount offered (which it really far below industry standards!). I was excited for the job so I was willing to take the 2nd call anyway.
Again this took 2 weeks to get a reply to. I got invited to their offices in Amsterdam. I replied with a proposal for a date/time. It's been another 2 weeks since, and I have not received a reply...
The initial call I had with them was really positive, but the way they deal with the rest of the process is very frustrating. The fact that I was willing to take the second interview knowing the offer they'd give me in case they'd want to hire me... They should have jumped on me to have me come in for the 2nd interview. Very disappointing. Not really the way you deal with people in a professional way.
Apply with them if you need a job in like 6 months. Otherwise, don't waste your time.

Question 1
This was an intro call to get to know each other and get more familiar with the position. Some basic design and UX questions based on their current website.
